Why dive with us?
La Paz is not just the capital of Baja California Sur, but also one of the most magical and unknown diving destinations of Mexico and the world. Diving with friendly sea lions, playing with their pups, and exploring ship wrecks are but a few of the wonders hidden at La Paz underwater world.
Any season is good at the gulf of California, but October and November are the best time of the year for scuba diving, with excellent visibility of up to 80 feet, and water temperature at around 72-84 F. From January to June we can enjoy dives at around 66-71 F, and a visibility of 19-49 feet.
Here, in Mexico Travel Adventure we are diving fanatics and we perfectly know what is needed to have a completely satisfying underwater experience. We make sure you dive with people with your level of experience. We work with small groups because we don’t like crowded dives, and we want our divers to experience authentic, fulfilling adventures.

Join one of our group expeditions to scuba dive in places like ship wrecks, rocky reefs, and friendly sea lion colonies.
Our scuba days are usually 2 tanks, and know that we will for sure take you to the most promising dive sites and with the most potential, given the weather conditions and group experience. If in the group there are advanced and beginner divers, we will make sure that both have a different dive that they can enjoy to the maximum. Our dives last 45-60 minutes.
Depending on the season and the dive site, we can see sea turtles, mobula rays, sea lions, school of fish, and marine invertebrates like octopus, nudibranchs, and sea fans. Sometimes, and on very specific dive sites, we can see sharks, dolphings, diving sea birds and giant mantas. Water temperature changes with the season, being around 66-71 ºF during spring and winter, and 80-84 ºF during summer and fall.
The day begins at 8 am, when we meet at the marina to depart from La Paz. The closest diving site is around 40 minutes away, and the farthest one around 2 hours.
Depending on weather conditions and the wishes of the group, we will visit the sites with the most potential. Either after both dives, or in between them, we will stop at one of the many beautiful beaches of La Paz to enjoy a delicious lunch with shade, drinks, and local fresh food.
During the day, our guides will talk to you about the history, not only of the dive sites, but also of La Paz and its inhabitants.
We will return to La Paz at around 3 and 4 pm.
Duration: from 7 to 8 hours.
Requirements: Be certified in scuba diving or take the 1-day "Discovery" course.
Difficulty: Most of the dives are shallower than 20m, and the visibility and current vary throughout the year, however, they are not considered dives that require a lot of technical experience. We adapt to the level of the group.
