Did you know that PADI certifies nearly one million new explorers every year? This proves why your certification card is universally accepted. You’ll also be amazed to learn that the first step to mastering diving is a skill called buoyancy, which lets you feel like you’re “flying” underwater. And for those who are curious excitement is guaranteed and safety is key! It’s actually far more likely to be struck by lightning than to have an incident with a shark while diving, because safety is our top priority! From the age of 10, you can begin this amazing adventure as a Junior Open Water Diver. The underwater world is waiting for you!
Our program is designed for beginners, divided into three clear phases to ensure your confidence and safety.
Knowledge Development – You’ll learn the physics and theory behind diving.
Confined Water Dives – Practice and master all the essential skills, such as buoyancy control and equipment handling, in a safe environment like a pool.
Open Water Dives – The adventure truly begins! Apply everything you’ve learned in four real ocean dives, guided by your instructor, and experience the full sensation of weightlessness.
The PADI Open Water Diver course isn’t just training — it’s your official passport to safely explore 70% of our planet.
Upon completion, you’ll earn the most recognized scuba certification in the world, allowing you to dive with a buddy to 18 meters (60 feet) deep at almost any destination — from the Caribbean reefs to Mediterranean shipwrecks!
18 meters (60 feet). (For divers aged 10–11, the limit is 12 meters.)
For safety. A buddy can assist in emergencies sharing air, helping with a cramp, or signaling for help at the surface.
Search for your buddy for no more than one minute. If you don’t find them, ascend slowly to the surface, wait briefly, and reunite there.
As you descend, pressure increases and air volume decreases (compresses). As you ascend, pressure decreases and air expands.
This is crucial for buoyancy control and for following the “never hold your breath” rule.
Never hold your breath. Always breathe continuously.
This prevents lung overexpansion injuries when ascending, since air expands as pressure decreases.
