5 days of diving in Cabo Pulmo and La Paz and 7 nights of lodging

La Paz is a natural paradise full of marine life, turquoise water beaches and spectacular landscapes that will delight the most demanding travelers. It is a unique geographical enclave that, among other things, has one of the most interactive colonies of sea lions in the world and is a place of passage for extraordinary species such as whale sharks, dolphins, mobulas, cetaceans and an endless number of marine life.  Its desert landscapes and turquoise blue waters, as well as its unique environment, make diving in La Paz a magical experience.

Cabo Pulmo National Park is one of the most desired treasures of Baja California Sur, designated years ago as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site. This incredible place has become very popular in recent years among diving enthusiasts, since in its waters we can find more than 6,000 marine species, including bull sharks, huge groupers, turtles and large schools of jacks.

Unforgettable experience!

We were able to dive with whales, sea lions, schools of sardines, whale sharks, turtles… It has been the most amazing trip I have ever taken in my life! Super super highly recommended.

Amazing!!

My brother and I were lucky enough to spend 4 wonderful days diving with MTA this September. We connected with them through BlueWater Travel, as we were looking to complete our Advanced Open Water Diver certification. Our lead dive instructor was Andrea, who, besides being very competent, is a marine biologist with a great depth of knowledge.

The greatest diversity of species you can see on a single trip.

One of the places in the world that has most amazed me, no wonder Cousteau called it the world’s aquarium. A destination that captures you and makes you want to repeat the experience. I know the Maldives, the Philippines, Indonesia, Galapagos, Egypt… There is no place with as much diversity as this place.

Amazing experience!

We went diving with Mexico Travel Adventure in La Paz, BCS and it was an incredible experience. From the start, the attention to explain the activities that could be done was excellent. We definitely had an excellent guide, all the activities were very smooth and both the guide and the captain made us feel comfortable, safe, and very confident.

Dive in the World’s Aquarium: La Paz and Cabo Pulmo Await You!

Get ready for an unforgettable adventure diving in Baja California Sur! In La Paz, the “World’s Aquarium” invites you to interact with the playful sea lions of Los Islotes, and if you travel in season (October to May), you can snorkel alongside the majestic whale shark.

On the other hand, the Cabo Pulmo reserve will dazzle you with its successful conservation, where you will witness impressive “tornados” of jackfish and massive schools of fish, in addition to encountering bull sharks and five of the seven species of sea turtles.

Both destinations offer vibrant reefs, encounters with mobula rays, and the possibility of exploring shipwrecks, guaranteeing an explosion of marine life that will make your diving a magical and colorful experience.

  • California sea lions

California sea lions are a fascinating species known for their playful behavior and their ability to interact with humans in certain circumstances. These animals, excellent hunters and agile swimmers, are very curious and playful with divers.

  • Dolphins

Dolphins, particularly the bottlenose, common, and Pacific white-sided species, are a common and delightful sight on the Pacific side of the Gulf of California. They use coordinated and efficient hunting strategies to take advantage of the dense aggregations of sardines. They often work in groups, encircling the sardine balls to compress them and facilitate their capture.

  • Whale shark

During the months of October to April, the whale shark congregates in an area near La Paz that we call Mogote. It is a sandbar that creates the perfect environment for a lot of plankton, which the whale shark feeds on, to gather. This activity is highly regulated, so few boats have the SEMARNAT permit to enter the Whale Shark area.

  • Bull shark

The bull shark is one of the greatest rewards of the successful conservation in Cabo Pulmo, BCS. Diving here allows for a majestic and respectful encounter with these impressive predators (being more frequent in the cooler water season, between December and May). Despite its imposing size (up to 3.4 meters), its behavior is generally calm and reserved underwater, offering divers the unique opportunity to observe the vitality and health of this marine sanctuary.
