"Incredible Ecotourism Experience! Absolutely incredible ecotourism and snorkeling experience! Decided to book during our cruise in October. Started off with a beautiful boat ride to the islands in the area, learning about the local birds, ecosystems, and ecology of the national park. From there it was about an hour boat ride to the snorkeling spot at the Isla Lobos. My partner and I have only been snorkeling once when we were young so we were a little nervous but once we were in the water, it was beautiful! Couldn’t keep our heads out of the water the whole time, saw tons of seals, fish, an eel, and lots of corals! Absolutely incredible experience, would do again in a heartbeat! Wouldn’t have been the same without our guide! Almost missed our cruise shuttle but made it just in time, so be prepared!"

"Amazing adventure with beautiful marine life We had a great time on the Espiritu Santo Island sea lion snorkel trip! Swimming with the sea lions was an incredible experience. The young pups were adorable and playful in the water. We even saw one nursing on the rocks. One of us had only snorkeled once before, but we felt safe with our guides and also had to wear flotation vests which helped (PFDs are required for snorkelers in the area). We also saw a ton of marine birds and tropical fish. At our lunch stop on a pristine, secluded beach which only had one other tiny group on it, we did an additional optional snorkel out to the shallow rocky mounds nearby and saw SO many fish swimming around, including a pufferfish. A fellow snorkeler who went out first described it as “5000 fish”, and we thought he was exaggerating until we swam out ourselves. Lunch was three kinds of freshly-made ceviche (I think it was triggerfish?) and was delicious - I especially liked the one with mango and pineapple. There was also chips and lemonade. Our guides, Juan Carlos and Omar, were super nice, genuine, and clearly passionate and knowledgable about marine life and the local area. Kudos to them for helping to make this such a fantastic trip! Captain Alexis did a great job steering our boat through occasionally choppy waters. The entire trip started with a 9am meetup on the Malecon and ended around 3:30pm. Side notes: the boat has a small restroom and has a shade structure. Bring eco-friendly sunscreen, a water bottle (water refills available), and a dry bag to keep your items dry. You may get sprayed a lot if you sit near the back of the boat. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would definitely book again with Mexico Travel Adventure."

"An Unforgettable Experience Swimming with Sea Lions at Espíritu Santo! An Unforgettable Experience Swimming with Sea Lions at Espíritu Santo! What an absolutely incredible experience! This was easily one of the highlights of our two-week birthday trip through Mexico. Our excursion from La Paz to Espíritu Santo Island was spectacular from beginning to end. The boat was in great shape and the water just a light chop in the middle but other than that glass smooth. The scenery alone was breathtaking, with towering pink volcanic cliffs, beautiful turquoise water, secluded beaches, and fascinating wildlife everywhere. The highlight was snorkeling with the sea lions at Los Islotes. With mating season over, the enormous males and mothers were relaxing on the rocks while the youngsters entertained us underwater. They were incredibly playful and curious, swimming upside down, twisting around us, and even brushing against me! At one point, we entered a small underwater cave where approximately eight young sea lions were swimming all around us. An experience I’ll never forget! Our guides were knowledgeable and attentive, keeping everyone safely away from the resting adults while allowing us to enjoy these amazing animals in their natural environment. We also visited a gorgeous, peaceful beach for a delicious ceviche lunch. The crystal-clear water was filled with fish, seabirds waited nearby, and the scenery was absolutely stunning. Along the way, we saw colonies of blue-footed boobies with their brilliant blue feet and magnificent frigatebirds soaring high above their nesting grounds. Seeing the male frigatebirds with their distinctive red throat pouches was another wonderful surprise. The entire excursion was a perfect combination of adventure, wildlife, natural beauty, and relaxation. If you’re visiting La Paz, don’t miss this tour! It’s an extraordinary opportunity to experience the incredible marine life and natural beauty of the Sea of Cortez. Five stars without hesitation. We would absolutely do it again!"
